Profit vs Revenue


The two are often thought to have the same meaning, however the exact opposite is true.


Revenue is the income a company generates BEFORE any expenses are subtracted from it.


There are multiple variations of profit but for the sake of keeping this post short and sweet, profit (or net income) is what is remaining after all expenses have been deducted.
